Safe Zone Logo

As part of our efforts to raise visibility for members of the LGBTQ communities, allies display the Safe Zone logo. Students seeking a safe place can recognize allies by the logo; in addition, displaying the logo is a small action that allies can perform to raise awareness. Lock Haven University's Safe Zone held a contest in November 2010. We had a lot of amazing entries, but the entry with the most votes was submitted by Demetreus Addison, a senior Social Work major. Our logo emphasizes the importance of one person reaching out to help others; the use of the rainbow colors is symbolic of our focus on LGBTQ students.
