The Senate of the Student Cooperative
Council, Inc. is a progressive government
that places strong emphasis on supporting
students' rights and values. This government
also searches for innovative solutions to
pending obstacles.
Vision Statement of the Student
Cooperative Council, Inc. Senate
The Senate of the Student Cooperative
Council, Inc. will develop more effective
communication within its own organization as
well as with other communities and
individuals with which it deals. Members
will become more knowledgeable about their
roles and responsibilities. An atmosphere of
enthusiasm and devotion will be cultivated
in order to create an approachable outlet to
students.

The Student Cooperative Council,
Inc.'s Importance
The Student Cooperative Council, Inc.
heavily funds the
LHU Athletics program. The S.C.C. also
issues the yearly
Student Handbook. Finally, the S.C.C.
operates the Parsons Union Building (PUB),
the University Bookstore and the Student
Recreation Center.
Purpose of the
S.C.C.
Section I: To act as an official
avenue for expressing student concerns to
the University administration,
faculty, and staff.
Section II: To
promote a high degree of cooperation among
students, faculty, administration, and staff
of the University.
Section III: To
stimulate pride in the University and
promote its best interests to the highest
degree. Section IV: To constitute a
medium for student involvement in the
management of student's affairs, and to
promote the development of an autonomous,
responsible, and democratic student
government.
Section V: To develop a
well-rounded program of University life and
encourage all students to participate within
it.
