Name: William J. Dowd
Position: President
Major: Communication Media
Concentration: Journalism Print
Minor: Political Science
Contact: wdowd@lhup.edu
About: Originally from Atlanta, GA, I now live in York, PA. I have three
brothers and two sisters. I am pretty chill. I like to experience
new things, and I try to better myself in everything I do.
I chose
my major and minor through the influence of my high school teachers,
Mrs. Stempien and Mrs. Stoner, who were the movers and shakers
behind me choosing them.
I am
pretty involved on campus, and at the moment I am tied up with
serving my constituents that elected me president. I am a pledge for
the Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity here on campus. I hope to learn a lot
from the fraternity when I am a brother. In the past I have dipped
my toes in the AmeriCorps program. I have been involved with the RHA,
the Eagle Eye as a guest writer and a member of their advertising
staff, I was the yearbook editor in 2007, the French Club, and a
senator. I love to be involved; I feel like it builds character in
your life.

Name: Keith Haller
Position: Vice President
Major: Political Science
Contact: khaller@lhup.edu
About: I am from Lebanon County, PA. I have two brothers and three
sisters. To be like me is like being an enigma wrapped in a
conundrum coat wearing a paradox hat using a GPS to seek clarity in
an obfuscatious world on a never ending solipsistic journey for self
discovery. I am an obtuse individual who has a delectable
personality, enjoying the small things in life such as pina coladas,
fine dining, and long walks on the beach.
In my
major I get to learn how different governmental systems interact
with in another to produce the environment we live in today.
In
addition to being Vice President, I am also a Resident Hall
Assistant in the quaint and elegant Campus Village Residence Hall.
I enjoy
my position. I like interacting with new people and being available
to assist the students to improve our campus.

Halloween 2007

Name: Donald Amoriello, Jr.
Position: Treasurer
Major: Sports Administration
Contact: damorie2@lhup.edu
About: I am from Bellefonte, PA and am an only child. To be me is to lead a
very complex and interesting life. From my over obsessive structure
of being neat and organized to going strictly by the rules and
guidelines as much as possible, I find myself always busy. I have to
always be busy and always like to help someone out when I can. I am
a very detail oriented person. I am very personable when someone
comes into mu office, however, I will be strict when needed.
I am a
Sports Administration major, and with that major I would like to
become an Athletic Director. I have determined two reasons why I
decided on Sports Administration as my major. First, I have always
had a love for sports, starting with soccer and baseball as a kid. I
moved on from soccer and baseball to football and track after I
moved from Bellmawr, NJ. Second was my family background. My mom and
dad had a major influence on my life and in deciding my major. My
mom was a cheerleader at Lock Haven University, and this influenced
me to do what I wanted and to follow my dreams. My dad was an
athlete at Lock Haven University, which is the biggest reason why I
went the way I did.
In
addition to being the SCC Treasurer, I am also a member of the
Sports Administration Society, as well as the secretary and service
chairman for Mu Upsilon Delta Service Organization.
As SCC
Treasurer, I would just like to extend my position the best I can.
Being in the role I am and difficult choices I must make everyday
entitle me to take the position on a day to day basis. As a yearly
goal, I want to make being treasurer for the next person easier. I
enjoy my position because it gives me something to do and keeps me
active. I also enjoy this position because it gives me social
interaction that most will never get. This position is also one of
the most challenging roles I have taken on so far. Having long days
and even longer nights in my office, I find myself always trying to
help clubs and organizations the best I can. My main focus with this
position is to update and have all the records and information
regarding clubs and organizations budget and forms that go through
SAC. I know this year there is a lot of work going into handing in
these forms but in the end it will be beneficial for the SCC and the
clubs and organizations on campus.

Pierson Smythe
Position: Student Conerns Committee Chairperson
Major: Sports Administration
Minor: Business
Contact: psmythe@lhup.edu
About: I am from Philadelphia. I have 1 brother and 3 sisters. I am a funny,
focused, and driven individual with my head fixated to the
sky because I am going to continually rise.
With my
major I am looking to get into the front office of a professional
sports team as Director of Player Personnel or General Manager.
In
addition to my SCC position, I am also involved with the Black
Student Union as Treasurer, the Distinguished Gentlemen, the Latino
Student Association, and the Sports Administration Society.
I feel
that I am helping to cut down some of the things that may be wrong
with our campus. I feel that with every concern that is being dealt
with our university is becoming a better place to get an education.

Heather Halloween 2007
|
Name:
Heather MacMath
Position: Haven
Activities Council Coordinator (HAC)
Major: Elementary Education
Minor: Reading
Contact: hmacmath@lhup.edu
About: 1 sister, Kiara: 9 years old. I like to think it is fun to be
me. I am very busy, but I make the most of everything! I am very
outgoing and a positive thinker. I enjoy being involved and having
fun with everything I do. A smile and a laugh so a long way!
I chose
my major because I love children and seeing them grow from my help.
Plus, I'm a child at heart, and love doing silly activities!
In
addition to my SCC position, I am also a member of AUA, the reading
fraternity, as well as PSEA.
I enjoy
the position I am in because I love event planning! Working to
provide entertainment provides so many life skills, time management,
negotiation, working within a budget, and responsibility. It is a
lot of work, but so rewarding to see people enjoying your product
plus you meet so many people! I hope to bring a variety of events to
campus that all students can enjoy :-)

Halloween 2007
|
Name:
Gregory L. DiCesare
Position: Information Systems Task
Force Chair
Major: Business Administration
Concentration: Management and MIS
Contact: gdicesar@lhup.edu
About: Originally from West Chester, PA, I have had my own apartment
here in Lock Haven for almost four years. Despite that fact, I
remain very close to my family and my one brother of 19. Being me
can be an interesting change of pace. I have always been the butt of
every short-fat joke, but have come to live with it, and have even
adopted the nickname "Dwarfy".
As a
Business Administration major, I hope to become a retail manager at
either Walt Disney World or Wegmans. It took me some time to realize
that this was really what I wanted to do, but here I stand with my
life well under way.
In
addition to my position with the SCC, I am a member at large of both
the Fencing Club and the URPC. I also a member of the Student Tech
Corps, and work regular hours as a technician with the Technology
Support Center (formally the Computing Center).
As the Information Systems Task
Force Chair I hope to be able to help the SCC help the students, by
keeping the website up to date, as well as keep the computer lab
operational by working hand in hand with the Technology Support
Center.

Halloween 2007
|
Name: Benjamin Green
Position: Food Service Chair
Major: Political Science
Minor: Sociology
Contact: bgreen@lhup.edu
About: I am originally from Danbury, CT., not far from New York City,
but I have lived in Lock Haven for the past eight years and have
basically grown up here. I have two brothers, one older and one
younger. My older brother is an Attorney General in Massachusetts
and my younger brother is a freshman at Central Mountain High
School.
It's
awesome to be me. I have fun; I'm laid back but motivated. I'm
interested in a little bit of everything and I do a little bit of
everything. I am a true Renaissance man, in the truest sense of the
expression.
I am a
Political Science major leaning towards pre-law with a particular
interest in criminal law, sovereignty, and international law. I am
also a Sociology minor. I chose these because I find them truly
interesting and hope to make a change in the world someday. I care
more about the knowledge and teh ability to affect a change than the
money.
In
addition to being the Food Service Chairman, I am also currently
getting involved in some volunteer work, the Eagle Eye, photography,
and I hope to have a radio show soon. I also hope to start a crew
club soon.
I would
like to work as hard as I can to promote the student's interests
regarding the food service at LHU, and also be a good facilitator
between the food service provider and the students.

Name: Travis Nosko
Position: Public Relations Chair
Major: Health Science
Concentration: Physician Assistant
Contact: tnosko@lhup.edu
About: I am from Titusville, PA and have two Brothers, Andy, my twin, and
Ben, as well as one sister, Katelyn. It is exciting and stressful
being me. I am graduating this year and starting grad school. Yet, I
have so much going on at the same time. I wouldn't want to be anyone
else. I love all my friends and everything I do.
I chose
my major because I had the the opportunity to be enrolled in the
three plus two program, and receive a masters degree in only five
years. I enjoy working with people and helping them lead healthier
and more successful lives. Being a Physicians Assistant gives me
that opportunity.
In
addition to being the Public Relation Chairperson, I served as Hall
President of Woolridge Hall (Fall 2007 - Spring 2007).
I enjoy
