Summer in London

LHU-BU London Program

      Class of 2006

LHU Open Meeting — Thurs, 10/11, 5PM Raub 425

Intro

The LHU-BU London Program has been in existence since 2000, when 11 students from the two universities joined Professors Collins and Hicks.

The program is designed for any major, with the courses offered fulfilling some general education requirement (based on the Lock Haven catalog since it is the host of the courses).

The focus of the program is the theatrical experience in London: the point of going (for the program) is so students can experience the plays they read and study.  For this purpose, the program centers around an English course that focuses on the plays of William Shakespeare (not hard to come by in London and Stratford-upon-Avon) and a theatre course that attempts some survey of the London theatrical scene. Typically, the program sees between nine and twelve plays together.

Browse through the following pages for details — we think you’ll find a cost-friendly program (we know of no other that matches ours in combination of offerings and cost) that provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
