LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Commissioner
Steve Murray announced the 2004-2005 Scholar-Athletes today (July 7), with
Lock Haven University placing 113 student-athletes on the list. 66 Lady
Eagles and 47 Bald Eagles land on the elite list. 15 of those are two-sport
athletes.
The conference will recognize 1,364
student-athletes as Scholar-Athletes. The total eclipses last year’s
record-setting total of 1,239. To be eligible for the scholar-athlete
awards, student-athletes must attain at least a 3.25 cumulative grade point
average while competing in an intercollegiate varsity sport. The 1,364
scholar-athletes account for approximately one quarter of the 5,300 +
student-athletes in the PSAC. Commissioner Murray will award each
scholar-athlete with a certificate of distinction.
