Haven, Pa.) - Danson
Mwaura (Leola/Conestoga Valley) and
Mike Slatcoff (Sandy Lake/Cochranton) were announced as the Lock Haven
University of Pennsylvania football team’s Harry Bradley Offensive and
Defensive Most Improved Players, as awarded today at halftime of the annual
Football Spring Game.
Mwaura, a sophomore, was named
the Most Improved Player on the Bald Eagle offense.
A 5’9”, 170-pound wide receiver, Mwaura served primarily a back-up
role for the Bald Eagles last season, making six catches for 48 yards, but is
expected to play a larger role as the 2004 season enters view.
Slatcoff, a red-shirt freshman, earned the Defense’s Most Improved
Player Award. A 6’2”, 205-pound linebacker, Slatcoff saw action in 10 games
last season with 12 tackles and will help anchor the Bald Eagle defense come
August.
The 2004 Lock Haven football team will open up at home with
Cheyney
University
on August 28 at
6 p.m.
