(Lock Haven, Pa.) - Elizabeth
Gabrielle (State College/State College), a freshman guard on the Lock
Haven University of Pennsylvania women’s basketball team, was selected as the
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Rookie of the
Week for games ending Dec. 7.
Gabrielle, a 5’5” point guard, helped lead the Lady Eagles to a 1-1
week. She scored a team high of 20
points against
Bloomsburg
University
, including four-of-five from beyond the three-point line.
She also added six assists, five rebounds and three steals in that
contest. In a win over
East Stroudsburg
, Gabrielle netted 12 points, four assists and four rebounds.
On the season, Gabrielle ranks third on the squad in scoring with 10.6
points and also contributes 6.0 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game.
The Lady Eagle basketball team is currently 3-2 overall, and next hosts
Millersville
University
on Wed., Dec. 17, at
