Haven, Pa.) - The Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania
Department of Athletics would like to extend an invitation to all local
students in 8th grade or lower to take part in the annual Take
a Kid to the Game program on Saturday, February 21, 2004,
when the Lock Haven women’s and men’s basketball teams take on Clarion
University. The women’s game tips
off at
1 p.m.
and the men’s game is slated for a
3 p.m.
start.
This year’s program includes a special feature appearance by J.J.
Jumper, the official mascot of NCAA Basketball. J.J. Jumper will be
entertaining basketball fans and handing out special prizes during both
women’s and men’s basketball games.
Lock Haven is one of more than 170 schools across
the nation that are participating in this campaign focused on attracting more
of the nation’s youths to college games. The Take a Kid to the Game program
is entering its ninth year in the promotion of NCAA Athletics.
Kids ages 12 and under are admitted free with the
purchase of an adult ticket. Tickets
will be available at the door the day of the game.
