LHU Track & Field's Ryan Blood Named PSAC Athlete of the Week

   
  (Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania track and field’s Ryan Blood (Summerdale/East Pennsboro) was selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for events ending February 22. 
            The freshman runner posted a time of 8:32.50 in the 3000 meter run at the Kent State Tune-Up, setting a school record and establishing a PSAC best for the event this season.  That time was good enough to earn him fourth place in the event which included 70 competitors.
            In addition to the 3000 meters, this season Blood has also qualified for the PSAC championships in the 5000 meters and is currently ranked sixth in the event with a time of 15:30.01.
            Both Lock Haven University track and field teams will defend their titles at the 2004 PSAC Indoor Track & Field Championships from Sat.-Sun., Feb. 28-29 at East Stroudsburg University.
