Bald Eagle Cagers' Chappell Named PSAC West Rookie of the Week

   
  (Lock Haven, Pa.) -  James Chappell (Coatesville/Coatesville), a freshman guard on the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania men’s basketball team, earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Rookie of the Week for games ending Jan. 25. 
            Chappell helped lift Lock Haven to its first Western Division win of the season by turning in 16 points, five steals and two blocks against Shippensburg University . The rookie guard led all scorers in a loss to California ( Pa. ) University, pouring in 19 points, six rebounds and three steals. Chappell shot 52.2-percent (12-23) from the floor and 41.7-percent (5-12) from behind the three-point line for the week.
            On the season, Chappell leads Lock Haven averaging 10.6 points per game. He leads the Bald Eagles with 28 steals (1.75 spg) and is shooting 35.3-percent (24-68) from long range.
            The Bald Eagle basketball team is currently 2-15 overall and 1-3 in the PSAC West and will next be on the road at Clarion University on Jan. 28.
