Haven Swim Team Earns National Ranking in Final

(Lock Haven, Pa.) - The
Lock
Haven
University
of
Pennsylvania
women’s swim team was ranked 25th
in the recently released final NCAA Division II CollegeSwimming.com poll.
The 2004 Lady Eagles, directed by third-year head coach
Bart Garlick, recorded the program’s highest finish at the Pennsylvania State
Athletic Conference (PSAC) championships in recent history after taking home
sixth place overall. One individual
and two relays earned All-PSAC honors for finishing among the top three in
their respective events. Posting a
dual meet ledger of 4-1 over the season, a total of three relay and four
individual school records were rewritten in the process.
Academically, this year’s squad also received honors as the top
Division II team on the 2004 College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA)
Academic All-America team list.
