LHU Baseball's Miller on Academic All-District
List

(Lock Haven, Pa.) - Dave
Miller (Tyrone/Bellwood-Antis), a junior on the Lock Haven University
of Pennsylvania baseball team, was selected to the 2004 CoSIDA Academic
All-District College Division Baseball Second Team as recently released by the
College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Miller, a two-year starting first baseman for the Bald Eagle baseball
team, has maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.762 as a junior
Recreation Management major. He is a two-time Pennsylvania State Athletic
Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete and a Dean’s List student at Lock Haven.
This season Miller was one of only two players to appear in every game,
finishing second on the team with a .363 batting average.
He led the Haven in several offensive categories including hits (57),
doubles (12), RBIs (34) and stolen bases (7). Defensively,
his 283 putouts paced the LHU squad and he registered an overall .984 fielding
percentage.
The Bald Eagle baseball team went 19-26 overall and 4-16 in the PSAC Western
Division.
The District II College Division consists of all non-NCAA Division I colleges
and universities in
Delaware
,
Maryland
,
New Jersey
,
Pennsylvania
,
West Virginia
and the
District of Columbia
. To be nominated, a student-athlete
must be at least a sophomore with a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and be a
starter or significant reserve. Student-athletes selected to the First Team
All-District become eligible for Academic All-America honors.
