Haven
University
of
Pennsylvania
volleyball team will serve as the host for the 2003 NCAA Division II Atlantic
Region Championship to be held Thursday through Saturday, November 20-22, in
Thomas Fieldhouse.
The
Lady Eagles earned the top seed in the tournament and enter the weekend’s
action with a 29-5 overall ledger. Edinboro
University
(25-11), the defending regional champion, will be the second seed.
Indiana (Pa.) University (23-11) takes the third seed while Clarion
University
(26-9) holds down the fourth spot. Filling
out the tournament field is fifth-seeded
Lees-McRae
College
(30-11) and the sixth-seeded St. Augustine’s College
(25-4).
Quarterfinal
matches are scheduled for Thurs., Nov. 20, at
5 p.m.
and
7:30 p.m. Semifinal matches will be held on
Fri., Nov. 21, at
5 p.m.
and
7:30 p.m. The championship final is slated
for Sat., Nov. 22, at
6:30 p.m.
Ticket
prices are $7 for adults, $3 for students and $2 for children.
