field hockey’s Jen DeNault
(Hamburg/Hamburg) and Sara Segerlin
(Penfield, N.Y./Webster) were selected to participate in this year’s
National
Field Hockey
Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II North/South Senior All-Star Game.
The game will be held on the campus of the
Universit
y
of
Massachusetts
on Saturday, November 22 at
5:30 p.m.
Jen
DeNault, a senior back for the Lady Eagles, was recently named Pennsylvania
State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Athlete of the Year and was a First Team All-PSAC
pick for the third-straight season. DeNault,
now a four-time All-American, was twice selected to the NCAA Division II
All-Tournament Team. In her
freshman season, she was named PSAC Rookie of the Year and earned second-team
all-conference honors. DeNault’s
10 goals and five assists this season ranked her 10th in the
conference in scoring with 25 points and 1.19 points per game.
She was also 11th in goals per game with 0.48 per contest.
Another
four-year veteran of the Lady Eagle program, Sara
Segerlin was a Second Team All-PSAC selection this season.
A three-year PSAC Scholar-Athlete, Segerlin is also a three-time member
of the NFHCA Division II National Academic Squad.
On the season, Segerlin tallied 10 goals and three assists, accounting
for five game-winning goals.
The
2003 Lock Haven field hockey team closed out the season as a PSAC semifinalist
with an overall record of 17-4.
