LOCK HAVEN, Pa.
– The No. 16 Lock Haven University men’s soccer team
swept the postseason awards, and earned three first-team
selections on the 2004 Men’s Soccer All-Pennsylvania State Athletic
Conference (PSAC) teams, the conference office announced today. Senior
Dustin Bixler (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Redland)
was named Athlete of the Year, head coach Doug
Moore was named Coach of the Year, and
Ashley Rosindale
(Bradford, England/Beckfoot School) took Rookie of the
Year.
Bixler was a senior
leader on a defensive line that allowed just a 1.09 goals-against average
and recorded eight shutouts. He also had three goals that were all
game winners. Moore led the squad to their first PSAC
title since 1996. Rosindale led the team with 12 goals and 29 points. He was named the
2004 PSAC Championship Oustanding Player of the Game.
Sophomore Andrew Meehan
(Cheltenham, Pa./Cheltenham)
joined Bixler and Rosindale on the First Team All-PSAC.
The Bald Eagles are back
in action in the first round of the NCAA Division II Championship against
No. 24 California University on Friday, Nov. 12 at 1 p.m. in Oakdale, N.Y.
