LOCK HAVEN, Pa.
– Sophomore Li Yizhi (Shanghai, China) has been named Pennsylvania
State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Player of the Week for her
outstanding performance against PSAC foes Indiana University (Pa.) and
California University (Pa.). It is the second honor for both Li and the Lady
Eagles this season.
She led the team with 30
kills, 31 digs, and 17 blocks en route to two victories and the PSAC West
title. These wins gave Lock Haven the No. 1 seed in the PSAC playoffs as
they host the championship tournament this weekend.
Li and the rest of the
Lady Eagles will play in the conference semi-finals Friday Nov. 12, against
either IUP or Millersville University at 7:30 p.m. If they win this contest
they will play in the conference final on Saturday Nov. 13, at 4 p.m. in
Thomas Field House.
