Haven, Pa.) - Chris
Cowan (Horseheads, N.Y./Thomas A. Edison), a junior on the No. 18-ranked
Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania cross country team, earned Pennsylvania
State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week
honors for events ending October 19. It is his third such award.
Cowan
led the Bald Eagle harriers to the team title at the University of
Rochester’s Yellowjacket Invitational by winning the individual crown in a
course-record time of 24:49. His
time over the eight kilometer course shattered the existing record, clocking in
at
1:21
faster than the previous course mark.
The
Lock Haven men’s and women’s cross country teams will next be in
competition on Sat., Oct. 25, at the Mansfield University Tri-Meet.
