LHU's Blood Named PSAC Cross Country Runner of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- Ryan Blood (Summerdale, Pa./East Pennsboro), a sophomore on Lock Haven’s No. 7-ranked men’s cross country team, was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets ending Oct. 4, the conference office announced today.

Blood ran to victory in a field of 133 runners at the Gulden Invitational, hosted by Bucknell University. His time of 25:13 was seven seconds better than teammate Chris Cowan, who finished in second place. His efforts led the team to a third place finish among 10 teams, five of which were Division I.

Blood and the rest of the Bald Eagle harriers will be back on the course when they travel to either Penn State National Invitational or the University of Rochester Invitational; both meets will be held on Saturday Oct. 16.
