LOCK HAVEN, Pa.
– Sophomore runner Ryan Blood (Summerdale, Pa./East Pennsboro) has
been named this week’s Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Runner of the
Week for his outstanding performance at the National Invitational, the
conference office announced today. The honor is the second for Blood this
season and the fourth overall for Lock Haven in 2004.
Blood was the top Division II finisher at
the National Invitational at Penn State University. In a field of 322
runners, he placed 12th with a time of 25:56 on the 5.2 mile course. The
next closest Division II competitor was teammate Chris Cowan (Horseheads,
N.Y./Thomas A. Edison), who placed 25th in 26:16.
The Bald Eagles will take to the course
Saturday, Oct. 30 at the PSAC Championships hosted by Kutztown University.
