LOCK HAVEN, Pa.–
Holly Homsher
(Conestoga,
Pa./Penn Manor),
a sophomore midfielder on Lock Haven
University women’s soccer team (6-6-1, 3-1 PSAC West), was named the
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Women’s Soccer West Division
Player of the Week for games ending in the week of Oct. 4, the conference
office announced today.
Homsher scored the
game-winning goal against Edinboro University just 47 seconds into the
contest. It was the second-fastest goal in Lock Haven women’s soccer
history. Homsher also added a game-tying goal against Philadelphia
University, unfortunately Philadelphia went on to win the game, 3-2.
Homsher and the rest of
the Lady Eagles will be back in action when they host Slippery Rock
University on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 4 p.m.
