LOCK HAVEN, Pa.
– Sophomore midfielder Holly Homsher (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor)
has been named this week’s Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)
Women’s Soccer West Division Player of the Week for her outstanding
performance against Indiana University (Pa.)
and California University (Pa.),
the conference office announced today. The honor is the second for Homsher
this season and the third overall for Lock Haven in 2004.
In a 2-0 week for Lock Haven, Homsher
tallied two game-winning goals and two assists. She had assists on the
second and third goals and scored the game winner in overtime for a 4-3 win
against West rivals IUP. Homsher then added the lone goal in a 1-0 victory
over California on Saturday.
The Lady Eagles (10-6-2, 7-1-1 PSAC West)
clinched a PSAC playoff berth with the 1-0 victory over California and will
be back in action Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. as they host Edinboro
University.
