Lady Eagle Volleyball's Li Named PSAC West Player of the Week

   
  (Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Cherry Li (Shanghai, China), a freshman middle hitter for the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania volleyball team, was selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Player of the Week for matches ending Sept. 21. 
            Li helped lead the Lady Eagles to a pair of 3-1 victories over Western Division opponents Edinboro University and Clarion University. She posted a team best of 25 kills against Clarion and tallied 19 kills, 18 digs and six service aces in the Edinboro match.  On the week, Li rolled out an impressive .606 attack percentage and an average 5.5 kills per game.  She also totaled 25 digs and 11 blocks.  
            For the season, Li is among PSAC leaders with 155 kills and a .473 attack percentage. She also leads her Haven squad in service aces (18), digs (127) and blocks (33). 
            The Lock Haven volleyball team is currently 9-1 overall and 2-0 in the PSAC Western Division. The Lady Eagles next travel to Slippery Rock University
on Tues., Sept. 23, for a 7 p.m. contest.
