LHU Field Hockey's Sweger Earns PSAC Player of the Week

   
  (Lock Haven, Pa.) -  Nikki Sweger (Dauphin/Central Dauphin East), a sophomore forward for the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania field hockey team, was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Player of the Week for games ending Sept. 21. 
         Sweger led Lock Haven in points over its three-game span last week, scoring four goals in a win over Slippery Rock University and three in the win against Philadelphia University. She added an assist in each of the three games.  
       
On the season, Sweger paces all Lady Eagles and is tied for the top spot in the PSAC with 11 goals.  She is second in the conference with a total of 25 points (11g, 3a).
        The Lock Haven field hockey team is ranked second in the nation and is 8-1 overall and 5-1 in the PSAC.  The Lady Eagles have two big games this week, traveling to No. 3-ranked Shippensburg University on Wed., Sept. 24, before hosting No. 4-ranked East Stroudsburg University on Sat., Sept. 27.
