LOCK HAVEN, Pa. –
Powered by Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) titles from
men’s soccer, men’s cross country and volleyball, Lock Haven University
is ranked fourth after the fall season in the Dixon Trophy standings.
Indiana University (Pa.)
leads the rankings with 65
points, followed by Shippensburg University, which has 52.5 points.
Kutztown University is in third place with 52 points, followed by LHU
(50) and Bloomsburg University (49.5) rounding out the top five.
The presentation of the Dixon Trophy
will take place after the spring sports season. The final determination
of the trophy winner is based only on an institution’s best 12 finishes
- the top six men’s and top six women’s placements. This year will mark
the 10th presentation of the Dixon Trophy, named after F. Eugene Dixon
Jr., former chairman of the Board of Governors of the State System of
Higher Education, of which all 14 universities of the PSAC are members.
