MYERS, Fla. – The Lock Haven
University baseball team (6-4) scored a season-high 16 runs on
15 hits to down the Millersville University Marauders 16-7
at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic today (March 8).
Sophomore catcher
Travis Ruane
(Hughesville, Pa./Shippensburg Univ.)
was 4-for-5 with a grand slam and two doubles, driving in
five.
Junior
pitcher
Kenny
Janiszewski (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock)
picked up the win in relief, throwing 3.1
innings and striking out five to improve to 1-0.
Millersville’s Chris Keihl picked up the loss.
Four Bald
Eagles had multi-hit games, led by Ruane.
Aaron Neideigh (Spring Mills, Pa./Penns Valley)
and
Derek Houtz
(Centre Hall, Pa./Penns Valley)
each went 2-for-4 with three and four RBI, while
Kurt Elbin (Bedford, Pa./Delgado C.C.)
was 2-for-5.
Ruane,
Janiszewski, Neideigh, Houtz, Elbin and the rest of the
Bald Eagles are back in action Wednesday, March 9 at 4
p.m. against C.W. Post. |
