LOCK
HAVEN, Pa. – Lacey Pustizzi has been named
graduate assistant coach for the Lock Haven University field hockey team.
This marks the first time in Lady Eagle field hockey
history that the team has had a graduate assistant coach.
“I’m excited about joining an excellent historical program
like Lock Haven,” said Pustizzi. “My experience to this point gives me a lot
to bring to the table, hopefully adding to that success at LHU.”
Pustizzi, a 2002 graduate of Hartwick College, will work
toward her master’s degree in Liberal Arts. A former goalie, she spent two
full years as the starter at Hartwick and made two NCAA Division III
tournament appearances.
“The loss of (four-year starter Melissa Stubblefield)
is our most important gap to fill,” said LHU head coach
Pat Rudy. “That’s why we’re excited by
the addition of Lacey as a goalkeeping specialist G.A. coach. Having one
coach focus on this area will help our youngsters develop.”
Most recently Pustizzi as served as the assistant field
hockey coach at Yale University. Prior to Yale, she coached as an assistant
at both Colgate University and Hartwick College.
