Hughes’s Happenings: Former All-American now in her fourth year as starter ... Also a starting shortstop for the PSAC West Champion Lady Eagle softball team … 2004: Started all 20 games for LHU ... Led all defenders in scoring with four goals and five assists ... The All-NEC Team member paced the team with a pair of defensive saves ... Posted both goals in the 2-1 victory over Rider University Oct. 15, earning NEC Player of the Week ... PSAC Scholar-Athlete.
2003:
NFHCA Second Team All-American … First Team All-PSAC … Started in all 21 games … Recorded five goals and eight assists … Scored two goals in regular season match-up against Kutztown University … Added season best of three assists in a win over Slippery Rock University … Also earned all-conference honors as a shortstop for LHU softball team that qualified for NCAA playoffs.
2002: Second Team All-PSAC defender … Started in 21 of 23 games played … Scored three goals and two assists … Posted first collegiate goal in a win over Ithaca … Notched game-winning score in regular season contest versus Shippensburg.
In High School: 2001 First Team Suburban One Liberty Division defender … Intelligencer All-Area Second Team … Three-time all-league softball player … Souderton High School’s Most Valuable Player for softball in 2002 … Academic All-State Squad member in 2001.
