The Dolan Duals is an annual meet between LHU and Penn State University. The meet is named in honor Jim Dolan, former LHU professor and cross country coach, who is one of the Haven’s biggest track and field and cross country supporters. As part of the special dual-meet to kick off the season Dolan was again the honorary starter.

PSU took home the win in both races, but their were several very solid early season performances for both the Bald and Lady Eagles.

On the women’s side freshman Lindsey Lambert (Howell, N.J./Howell) looked strong in her Lock Haven debut finishing fourth overall and marking the top performance by a Haven woman.

Lambert covered the 4K course in 15:10.29.

Senior Shala Simms (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby), who is coming off one of the most successful women’s cross country seasons in recent history was ninth with a time of 15:29.58.

On the men’s side redshirt junior Brandon Pomerantz (Holland, Pa./Council Rock North) was the top Haven finished taking fifth overall with a time of 18:42.11 in the 6K race.

Nick Hilton (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township), Mitch Miller (Morrisville, N.Y./Morrisville-Eaton) and A.J. Johnson (Coventry, R.I./Coventry) went 7-8-9 to help pace the men’s side.
