LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Stacey Borgia (Factoryville, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) of the Lock Haven University volleyball team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Player of the Week for her recent efforts in leading the Lady Eagles to a very solid 4-0 start
Borgia, was a key in all four of The Haven’s wins at the Shepherd University tournament.
Lock Haven only lost one game in four matches, thanks in large part to her team-high 37 kills and team-high 10 blocks.
She totaled 37 kills, 10 blocks, 15 digs and four service aces over the two-day span.
Borgia registered at least 11 kills in three of the four matches.
One of her top performances came in the final match against host Shepherd, as she tallied 12 kills, six digs and seven blocks.
For the weekend, she hit .476, netting only seven errors in her 63 attempts.
This is the first player of the week honor this year for Borgia and the Lady Eagles.
