GREENSBURG, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men’s soccer team (0-3, 0-1 PSAC West) dropped a non-conference game with Seton Hill University (2-1) 4-2 on the road tonight.
The Bald Eagles found themselves trailing 1-0 after the hosts went up 1-0 in the 34 minute of play.
Ten minutes later junior Colin Callaghan (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby) took a pass from senior Paul Huckett (Grimsby, England/Grimbsy College) inside the penalty box and roofed it, knotting the game at 1-1.
Just 10 minutes into the second half Seton Hill went up 2-1 after LHU missed on a penalty shot.
Lock Haven once again battled back and drew even in the 70th minute.
Sophomore Martin Pletz (Pittsburgh/Carlynton) headed home a cross from Greg Shertzer (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) to tie the game at 2-2.
In the final four minutes of regulation Seton Hill tacked on two more goals to take the 4-2 win.
Billy Trimble (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) played all 90 minutes in goal and was credited with fives.
The Bald Eagles are back in action on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. when they travel to Alderson-Broaddus College for a regional match up.
