LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s soccer team (1-3, 0-3 PSAC West) dropped a home contest to California (Pa.) University (3-2, 1-2 PSAC West) 4-1 today in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division action.
The Lady Eagles found themselves trailing early as they went down 1-0 in the 13th minute of play, but they battled back and drew even in the 31st minute.
Freshman Brianna Orth (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) scored the lone goal for the Lady Eagles after a tremendous individual effort.
Orth collected the ball on the corner of the 18-yard box and drilled it far post in the side netting.
Lady Eagle goalie Kim Bentley (Springdale, Pa./Springdale) made six saves.
Lock Haven returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. when it travels to Edinboro University for PSAC West action.
