LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (9-0, 1-0 PSAC East) kicked off their Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division run in strong form as the Lady Eagles cruised past Kutztown University 3-0 (6-3, 0-1 PSAC East) tonight at home in Thomas Fieldhouse.
The Lady Eagles won 25-19, 25-17 and 25-18 as they took care of business tonight to jump start their conference slate.
With the win LHU extends its win streak, remaining a perfect 9-0 on the year, having only lost one game all season in its nine matches.
Leading the way for the crimson and white was Christina Laury (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham), who had a team-high 12 kills in the three-game match. She hit a team-high .385 and also added two aces.
Stacy Borgia (Factoryville, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) had 11 kills.
Christie Naumann (Charters Towers, Austrailia/Gladstone) contributed eight kills and a team-high eight digs.
Fabianna Gomez (Montevideo, Uruguay/Consejo de E.S.) chalked up a match-high 39 assists.
LHU is back in action on Friday, when the Lady Eagles play host to the Bob Chu Invitational. Action in Thomas Fieldhouse is set to start at 6 p.m.
