SOMERSET, N.J. – Senior Blair Wynne (Arima, Trinidad & Tobago/Sangre Grande) of the Lock Haven University field hockey team has been named Northeast Conference (NEC) Player of the Week for the second week in a row.
Wynne was once again the leader for the Lady Eagles helping them go 2-0 this past week.
Over two-game span, both wins, she led the team with four goals and eight points.
In a 3-2 overtime thriller against Cornell, Wynne scored all three goals for The Haven.
In the 68th minute Wynne struck to knot the game at 2-2 and less than seven minutes into the overtime period Wynne broke away in toward the Cornell goal to score the game winner.
Against Lafayette she put LHU up 1-0 in the 29th minute. The Lady Eagles eventually won 3-1, improving to 4-2 on the year.
Wynne leads Lock Haven with seven goals on the year.
This marks the third straight week a Lady Eagle has taken home NEC Player of the Week honors.
