PHILADELPIA – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (5-2) downed La Salle University (2-5) 2-1 on the road tonight in non-conference action.
With the win the Lady Eagles extend their win streak to three games.
Sophomore Amy Hordendorf (Topton, Pa./Brandywine Heights) scored an unassisted goal in the 21st minute of play to put LHU up 1-0 early.
La Salle would however score, tying the match at 1-1 right before halftime.
In the 58th minute of play senior midfielder Blair Wynne (Trinidad and Tobago/Sangre Grande) scored from point blank range, putting LHU back on top for good.
The goal marked Wynne’s second game-winner of the season.
The Lady Eagles are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 1 p.m. when they host Colgate University
