LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (6-2) was clicking on all cylinders this afternoon as the Lady Eagles cruised past Colgate University (3-4) 7-1 today in non-conference action.
With the win LHU extends its win streak to four games and improves to 3-1 at home.
Lock Haven took control early and dominated for 70 minutes. The hosts led Colgate 2-0 at halftime outshooting CU 28-6 in the contest.
Leading the way for The Haven was Blair Wynne (Trinidad and Tobago/Sangre Grande) and Amy Hordendorf (Topton, Pa./Brandywine Heights), as each racked up five points in the win.
Both Wynne and Amy Hordendorf scored two goals and had one assist.
Suzann Hobart (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land) had four points in the win as she contributed a goal and two assists.
Sophomore goalie Erin Terreson (Robesonia, Pa./Conrad Weiser) made two saves
Carly Fry (Newville, Pa./Big Spring) picked up the first point of her Lady Eagle career with an assist today.
The Lady Eagles return to action tomorrow at 1 p.m. when they play host to Bucknell University.
