LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Senior Paul Huckett (Grimsby, England./Grimsby College) of the Lock Haven University men’s soccer team has been named HavenSports.com Athlete of the Week.

Huckett was a key contributor for the Bald Eagles as they went 2-0 last week.

Lock Haven started the week by knocking off Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West foe, Slippery Rock, in a 2-1 outing.

Then against PSAC conference rival West Chester, Huckett capped off the team’s 2-0 week by netting his fourth goal of the 2008 season in the 78th minute of play.

As the ball was sent across the goal mouth, Huckett left no doubt and tucked the ball into the back of the net for the game-winner as LHU downed the Golden Rams 1-0 in a tight affair.

This is the first HavenSports.com Athlete of the Week award for Huckett and the Bald Eagle soccer team.

The HavenSports.com Athlete of the Week is in its fourth week and will be a weekly award given to a Lock Haven athlete, who has excelled in his or her field of competition. The award is voted on a by a pre-established voting committee. The award winner will be featured on HavenSports.com.
