Angela Rineer turned in a solid outing today for LHU.

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women’s soccer team (5-7, 2-6 PSAC West) fell to visiting Gannon University (8-3-1, 6-1-1 PSAC) 3-1 today at Hubert Jack Stadium in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division action.

The Lady Eagles got their goal from freshman and local product Raquel Alton (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain), who netted the first goal of her Haven career.

Gannon struck early going up 1-0 just 14 minutes into the contest.

Trailing 2-0, LHU got on the board in the 40th minute of play giving the Lady Eagles some momentum.

Alton, a Central Mountain graduate knocked home a loose ball.

The loose ball came off a rebound that was initially shot by Angela Rineer (Shillington, Pa./Governor Mifflin).

Rineer turned in all-around solid outing in the midfield today for the Lady Eagles.

GU tacked on its third goal at the 41:45 mark of the first half.

Haley Zinn (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) made her sixth start of the season and the freshman stopped six Gannon shots.

Sophomore Arielle Gordon (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) played a solid game up top for LHU and created several scoring chances in the second 45 minutes of play.

Defensively Caitlyn Slattery (Williamsport, Pa./UMBC) and Courtney Johnson (Alexandria, Va./Edison) led the way for LHU.

The Lady Eagles are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. when they travel to Indiana (Pa.) University for PSAC West action.
