LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Junior Christie Naumann of the Lock Haven University volleyball team has been named HavenSports.com Athlete of the Week for her recent efforts in leading The Haven on the court.

This honors comes after Naumann was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Player of the Week after leading the Lady Eagles to a 3-1 week last week.

This marks the first time this season Naumann has received the award.

The Lady Eagles enjoyed a very solid 3-1 week, thanks in large part to

Naumann as she led the team with 41 kills (10.25/match & and 2.93/game).

The junior outside-hitter also added a team-high 11 aces, while also contributing 21 digs in the four matches.

Naumann had 13 kills against both IUP and Edinboro in PSAC weekend crossover action.

In a 3-0 PSAC East win over East Stroudsburg, Naumann had four aces to help the Lady Eagles improve to a perfect 5-0 in the conference.

This is the first HavenSports.com Athlete of the Week Naumann and the Lady Eagle volleyball program.

The HavenSports.com Athlete of the Week is in its fifth week and will be a weekly award given to a Lock Haven athlete, who has excelled in his or her field of competition. The award is voted on a by a pre-established voting committee. The award winner will be featured on HavenSports.com.
