LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Freshman Greg Shertzer (Lebanon, Pa/Cedar Crest) of the Lock Haven University men’s soccer team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Division Player of the Week.
Shertzer played a key role in Lock Haven’s only contest of the week, a 2-2 tie against Gannon. He scored the game’s first goal only two minutes into the contest and then assisted on the next goal just six minutes later.
Shertzer’s play kept Lock Haven near the top of the Western Division standings with the draw and helped the Bald Eagles extend their win streak to six games.
LHU has gone 4-0-2 in its last six games.
The Haven was idle this weekend and is currently tied for second in the PSAC West standing. LHU and Mercyhurst both have eight points, two points behind Western Division leader California (Pa.) University.
