LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (23-4, 9-0 PSAC East) remained perfect in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East action today with a 3-0 win over Shippensburg University on Homecoming.
The Lady Eagles won 25-15, 25-13 and 25-19.
With the win LHU extends its win streak to four matches.
Leading the way for LHU today was Stacey Borgia (Factoryville, Pa./Lackawanna Trail) and Christie Naumann (Charters Towers, Australia/Gladstone) as the two each recorded 11 kills.
Borgia hit .476 and Naumann hit .450. Borgia also recorded three digs and two block assists while Naumann had a team-high five digs.
Naumann also had a team-high four aces pacing The Haven’s effort this afternoon in Thomas Fieldhouse.
Elizabeth Metzmaier (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) and Juliana Nascimento (Guarulhos, Brazil/Seward C.C.) chipped in with seven and six kills, respectively.
Fabiana Gomez (Montevideo, Uruguay/Consejo de. E.S.) tallied a team-high 32 assists.
The Lady Eagles hit a sensational .562 in game one.
Lock Haven returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. when LHU hosts Millersville University in PSAC East action.
