Bald Eagles fall to #14 C.W. Post in season opener
 

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The Lock Haven University men’s basketball team (0-1) dropped its season opener on the road to No. 14 C.W. Post (1-0) 74-50.

The Bald Eagles trailed 42-28 at the half as they put fourth a tremendous effort on the road against on of the nation’s best in Division II.

Preseason All-American Billy Arre (Pittsburgh/Thomas Jefferson) started his senior campaign on a high note with a team-high 21 points. He also added a team-high 11 rebounds, picking up the double-double.

Eight of his 11 rebounds came on the defensive side of the ball.

Freshman forward Eric Brennan (Chester, Pa.) was solid in his Haven debut, as he netted 12 points to go along with four rebounds.

Christian Warren (Baltimore), a junior also made his first appearance for the Bald Eagles and turned in a workmanlike outing. He scored seven points, grabbed six boards and recorded two blocks.

Lock Haven will look to pick up its first win of the young season on Monday, Nov. 17 when they travel to Shippensburg University for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
