LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Senior Blair Wynne (Trinidad and Tobago/Sangre Grande) of Lock Haven University field hockey has earned two different All-American honors
Wynne picked up 2008 Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Second Team All-American honors.
The senior midfielder was also named to the Women’sFieldhockey.com Jack & Jill All-American Second Team.
Wynne capped off her final season in crimson and white in a huge way, leading the Lady Eagles to the Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament three-peat and the NEC regular season title.
For her efforts Wynne was recently named All-Region after picking up her third NEC Player of the Year honor.
Wynne was The Haven’s play-maker all year long, leading LHU to a 19-4 overall record. It was Wynne’s play making ability that also led Lock Haven to their second consecutive undefeated NEC regular season.
Wynne scored 20 goals, which was tied for the team lead and added eights assists for a team-high 48 points. She tallied six game-winning goals and recorded one hat trick this season. Wynne scored in 15 of the 21 matches she played in.
Wynne also recorded two or more points in an impressive 15 matches, including six in the 3-2 win over Cornell. She added a five point-game in the NEC Semifinal win over Quinnipiac as she scored twice and assisted on another LHU tally.
