CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Lock Haven University men’s basketball team (1-3) fell to Armstrong Atlantic State University (2-0) 81-57 at the University of Charleston Subway Basketball Classic.
Lock Haven was coming off their first win of the year, an 83-71 triumph over Wilmington (Del.) on Tuesday night in Thomas Fieldhouse.
Senior Billy Arre (Pittsburgh/Thomas Jefferson) led all scorers in the contest with a game-high 18 points. Arre was all over the court for the Bald Eagles, pulling down a monster double-double.
Arre added a game-high 15 rebounds to his game-high scoring total. He was strong defensively for LHU, as 10 of his 15 boards came on the defensive end. He also had three blocks.
Arre is just 32 points away from becoming The Haven’s all-time leading scorer.
Erin Brennan (Chester, Pa./West Catholic) was solid for Lock Haven with 10 points and six boards.
Warren Christian (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville C.C.) added six points and eight rebounds, while Tyrone Palmer (Darby, Pa./Parkway) knocked down eight points.
Lock Haven hits the hardwood again tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 29) at 4 p.m. when they take on the University of Charleston at 4 p.m. in Charleston’s Eddie King Gymnasium.
