LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men’s basketball team (2-7) fell to Bloomsburg University (3-8) 71-63 today at home in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Crossover action.
Bald Eagle senior forward Billy Arre (Pittsburgh/Thomas Jefferson) had another strong showing for The Haven as he dropped a game-high 25 points,
Andres Carpio (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon) added 13 points and Eric Brennan (Chester, Pa./West Cathloic) had nine in the loss.
Warren Chrstian (Baltimore, Md./Catonsville C.C.) was solid inside for the Bald Eagles with a game-high 10 rebounds and four blocks.
Kelvin McClean (Newport, Va./Heritage) snagged six boards for Lock Haven in the contest.
Bloomsburg’s Dan Hoover led the way for the Huskies with a double-double, as he had 16 points and 13 boards.
Three other Huskies scored in double-figures in the win. Ruben Britt added 19, Michael Varanavage scored 11 and Jesse Betar knocked down 10 points in the game.
The Bald Eagles return to action at home tomorrow (Sunday, Jan. 4) as they play host to Mansfield University at 3 p.m. in Thomas Fieldhouse.
