LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Lock Haven University men’s and women’s cross country coach Aaron Russell has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men’s Cross Country Coach of the Year.
Russell earns this honor for the fifth time in the last six years, as he was also the men’s coach of the year from 2003-06.
Russell recently led Lock Haven to the NCAA Division II National Championships, where The Haven placed 19th overall.
Prior to the NCAA Championships, the Bald Eagles, led by Russell won the 2008 Atlantic Region crown.
The most recent crown was The Haven’s fifth in the last six years. Lock Haven was the regional runner-up last season.
The Bald Eagles finished third at this year’s Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships.
Russell was also named the NCAA D-II Atlantic Region Men’s Coach of the Year for his efforts in guiding the Bald Eagles to another banner year.
