BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Lock Haven University wrestling team was in action today at the Bulldog Duals hosted by Gardner-Webb University.

LHU downed host GWU 34-15, as the Bald Eagles won seven of 10 bouts.

After LHU forfeited the 125 weight class, Billy Ashnault (South Plainfield, N.J./South Plainfield) put Lock Haven back on track with an important 17-2 tech fall.

Matt Fittery (Denver, Pa./Cocalico), Ollie Cooperwood, (Maple Heights, Ohio/Maple Heights), Aaron Ernest (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove), Dan Tolbert (Chattanooga, Tenn./Red Bank), Tom Kocher (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) and Ben Hepburn (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) were Lock Haven’s other winners.

A key for LHU head coach Rocky Bonomo in the lopsided win was back-to-back pins at 165 and 174 as the two matches lasted a combined 2:13.

LHU also took on Davidson and The Citadel, but results were not yet available from Gardner-Webb. An update will be made as soon as results become available.
