LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men’s basketball team (3-15, 1-4 PSAC West) was defeated 67-51 by Slippery Rock University (12-6, 3-2 PSAC West) at Thomas Fieldhouse tonight in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West action.
The Bald Eagles were led by Warren Christian (Baltimore, Md./Cantonsville C.C.) and his team-high 17 points. Christian also snagged a team-high five boards and four blocks in the loss.
Senior Billy Arre (Pittsburgh, Pa./Thomas Jefferson) added 10 points for Lock Haven in the contest.
Andrija Topic (Zagreb, Croatia/Delaware State) came off the bench in the second half and hit 5-fo-7 from the floor to add 10 points. He also grabbed two boards and dished out two assists for the Bald Eagles in limited action.
Slippery Rock had four players in double figures, with two recording a double-double.
Michael Evans Jr. led all Rock scorers with a game-high 19 points. Maron Brown had strong showing inside for his team as he grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds.
The Bald Eagles return to action on Saturday, Jan. 31 when then travel to Gannon University for a PSAC West matchup. The contest is scheduled for a 3 p.m. tipoff.
