Arre named All-PSAC
 

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Senior Billy Arre (Pittsburgh/Thomas Jefferson) of the Lock Haven University men’s basketball team has been named to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Second Team.

Arre, a Pittsburgh native dominated the PSAC West for the fourth straight season, as he led the Bald Eagles in scoring with 19.1 points-per-game. Against Western-Division opponents, he knocked down 20.1 points-per-game.

He caps off his career as the Bald Eagles all-time leading scorer, as he became the first Haven’s men’s basketball player to surpass as the 2,000-point plateau.

He finished his remarkable career with 2,112 point, which is sixth-best all time in PSAC men’s basketball.

Arre scored 10 or more points in the 24 of the 26 games he played in during the past season.

Along with his solid scoring touch, he also averaged 5.8 rebounds-per-game. He also recorded 33 steals and dished out 35 assists.

Arre scored 25 or more points seven times this season and matched his career-high with 35 points on the road at Mercyhurst University.

Early in the season, Arre grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds against Armstrong Atlantic.

Arre was a PSAC First-Teamer last year, the PSAC West Player of the Year in 2007 and he picked up Rookie of the Year honors in ’06.

A preseason All-American, Arre closed out his career this season in solid fashion and will go down as one of the most decorated players in school history.
