CHANDLER, Ariz. – The honors continue to roll in for the Lock Haven University field hockey team.
Recently, 10 members of the Lady Eagle field hockey squad were honored by being named to the 2008 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I National Academic Squad.
Once again this past fall The Haven proved they could get the job done, both on and off the field, as well as in the classroom.
Award winners for Lock Haven were Jill Houtz (Myerstown, Pa./Eastern Lebanon County), Blair Wynne (Arima, Trinidad & Tobago/Sangre Grande), Megan Albert (Liverpool, Pa./Greenwood), Mary Keister (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg), Carly Fry (Newville, Pa./Big Spring), Amy Hordendorf (Topton, Pa./Brandywine Heights), Casey Hughes (Schwenksville, Pa./Souderton), Tonia-Marie James (D'Abadie, Trinidad & Tobago/Saint Augustine Girls High), Talitha Jay (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land), Heather McHugh (Norristown, Pa./Norristown Area).
The award recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2008-09 academic year.
