LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Evan Petro (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) of the Lock Haven University baseball team has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Baseball Player of the Week.
Petro helped the Bald Eagles go 3-1 to open up PSAC West action, as The Haven took 3-of-4 from IUP, ranked No. 7 in last week’s regional poll.
Petro hit a sensational .500, as he went 7-for-14 at the plate in the four games.
Along with his seven hits, he scored four runs and recorded a team-high six RBIs.
Petro smacked two doubles and one triple. Over the four-game span, Petro recorded a very solid .786 slugging percentage.
The Bald Eagles are back in action on Friday, March 20 at 1 p.m. when they host Shippensburg University.
